National Railroad Passenger Corporation (Amtrak) Terms and Conditions


Unless otherwise specified or agreed upon in writing by Amtrak, the terms referenced on Amtrak's Form #69 and Supplemental General Provisions for Nonconstruction Contracts shall apply to all nonconstruction Amtrak Purchase Order transactions. Amtrak's Form #69 and Supplemental General Provisions for Construction Contracts shall apply to all Amtrak Purchase Order transactions related to construction.

Contractor's acceptance of the Purchase Order constitutes acceptance of the applicable terms and conditions set forth above. Acceptance of the Purchase Order by Contractor is accomplished by: (1) written or electronic communication accepting the Purchase Order by Contractor, or (2) initiating performance of work under the Purchase Order. Any proposal for additional or different terms or any attempt by Contractor to vary the terms and conditions set forth above is hereby objected to and rejected by Amtrak.

Please take a moment to register your organization in Amtrak's Supplier Directory. You are not required to register or to be listed in the Amtrak Supplier Directory to conduct business with Amtrak; however, you are encouraged to register to facilitate the likelihood of your firm being included on bidder's lists for prospective solicitations when requirements arise.

Registration does not guarantee award of a contract or business with Amtrak, nor does it automatically qualify the supplier to be an approved supplier for Amtrak.

Amtrak may post information submitted by diverse suppliers through the Vendor Registration Form on this site in accordance with the Terms of Use.



Amtrak Procurement's Objectives

In support of Amtrak's overall goal of providing quality inter-city and commuter services to the public, Amtrak Procurement's objectives are as follows:
  • To promote full and open competition in the procurement of goods and services.

  • To procure quality goods and services in a reliable and timely manner at a reasonable cost.
